Billy Stonecipher is the quintessential American artist. A singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, painter, and poet, he has lived everywhere from Kalispell, Montana to Atlanta, Georgia. Infused with soulful prowess, Stonecipher wields profound creative force.

In March of 2000, Billy’s mother, Alicia Leizman Stonecipher, passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Heavily affected by the traumatic loss, Billy found himself in a rehabilitation center by the time he turned 17. With limited access to the outside world, Billy began writing his first original songs, performing for fellow patients. Through tragedy and recovery, Stonecipher rediscovered motive to share his experiences through art. Come 2016, Billy finished as a semi-finalist in the Eddie’s Attic Songwriter’s Open Mic Shootout, earning a spot alongside previous contestants John Mayer and Jennifer Nettles. As Stonecipher continued to develop original music, he shifted his focus to recording a full-length studio album.

Billy’s debut singles, "Back on the Road" and "Sun and the Stars", were recorded in Nashville and self-released on April 13 and May 4, 2018, respectively. Spotify's editorial staff hand-selected "Sun and the Stars" to be featured among the company's Fresh Finds playlist just eleven days following its official release. “Back on The Road” would go on to rack up more than a million organic streams on Spotify alone. Stonecipher’s album, “Rookie Year,” quickly caught the attention of promoters, who booked the artist to perform everywhere from Nashville to New York. As shows slowed to a halt during the Coronavirus pandemic, Billy remained active, co-writing “I Won’t Need to Dream,” one of ten songs selected for the hit television show Eurovision - Australia Decides.

In 2023, Stonecipher returned to the stage in grand fashion. It's rare to receive a once in a lifetime performance from such a practiced and known artist as Billy Stonecipher. But on March 26th, 2023, Billy headlined his first ever sold out show coming off his acclaimed debut album "Rookie Year". Stepping into the light after two years spent writing and recording in the pandemic, Billy creates a world that begs to be seen by anyone interested in the life of a budding artist with unlimited potential.
